Top Ten Gadgets To Expect In 2012



                                                           
In terms of technological advancements, 2011 was a hell of a year. We saw the Samsung Galaxy S2, the Galaxy Nexus, the iPhone 4S, the iPad 2, Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Well, 2012 will be no less. We have lots of expectations on what we are about to get. Here is a random list of the top 10 items that we would like to get in 2012.
iPhone 5
People were very much excited when Apple held the usual event in October and each of them were hoping for an iPhone 5 release, but what we got was iPhone 4S. But surely Apple will launch its iPhone 5 this year around fall. Sources claim that the iPhone 5 will be completely redesigned and will have support for 4G LTE networks.
iPad 3
The iPad 2 made a huge impact in 2011 and it continues to be a top seller despite its low resolution screen. Apple seems to have fixed the hole in iPad 2 with a much better display in iPad 3 and the product is expected to make its way to the people in the first quarter Q1 of 2012. The iPad 3 is expected to have a quad core processor and a better camera than its predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy S3
The Samsung Galaxy S2 is the best smartphone of 2011 and Samsung hopes to make it two in a row with the Samsung Galaxy S3. Galaxy S3 is expected to be the first smartphone with a quad-core processor. Rumors have it that Galaxy S3 will have a high resolution 3D display.
Nexus Tablet
Eric Schmidt revealed in a recent press conference that Google will be concentrating on high end tablet which obviously indicates to a Nexus Tablet just like the Nexus phones
The Asus Transformer was a significant tablet that combines the features of a tablet as well as a netbook. The Transformer will have a successor in the form of Transformer Prime. The Prime will be released running on Honeycomb, but will be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich very soon as Asus has promised. The Transformer Prime will be one of the first tablets to be running on the quad-core Tegra 3.
Kindle Fire 2
Amazon has already shipped 4 million Kindle Fire units and is going strong with its $199 Android tablet. With the huge success of the Kindle Fire, Amazon hopes to release a successor by the name Kindle Fire 2 and it is expected to be a direct competitor to the iPad 2.
Windows 8
Windows 7 is simply the best from Microsoft and it is hoping to do the same with Windows 8. Windows 8 brings the revolutionary Metro UI to the PCs though it will look best on tablets. Also Windows 8 is expected to bring an unity among the smartphone, XBox and PC platforms.
Nintendo Wii U
The Nintendo Wii U is expected to hit the stores in 2012 although there has been no details on the pricing yet. The Nintendo Wii U has a multi-touch screen with various controls surrounding the display. It will allow the users to resume the game in case the TV is switched off. The biggest benefit that it will offer is that it will be backward compatible with all the Wii accessories and games.
Nokia Lumia 900
Its been nearly a year since Nokia and Microsoft joined hands and we have seen only a couple of Windows Phone based smartphones from Nokia. The year 2012 will bring a lot of Windows Phones from various manufacturers and Nokia Lumia 900 is expected to be the biggest among them. It will set the standards for a Windows Phone with support for 4G LTE network.
New MacBook Air
Apple has had a reasonable success with the MacBook Air series and is expecting to make a change with them. The new series is expected to come out in 2012 and also there will be a 15″inch MacBook Air.
2012 has lots in store of us. Lets wait and see which of these products make it.
